Danfoss ICS are servo operated valves with pilot control from ICV series (industrial control valves). They are based on three components – valve body, function module and top cover. Danfoss ICS series can be used for regulation of the temperature and pressure and also for operation in ON/OFF mode in refrigeration systems. ICS valves can work on the high- and low-pressure sides, in wet and dry suction lines and in liquid lines without phase change. Valve operation depends on the pilot pressure supplied through the pilots or from an external pilot line.
Valves designed for work with refrigerants from HCFC and HFC and from R717 (ammonium) and R744 (CO2) groups. Temperature ranges from -60 to +120°С. All standard pilot valves can be used with all ICS valves sizes. They are either screwed directly into the ICS valve head, eliminating the need for welded and soldered joints, or installed in an external pilot line.
Danfoss ICS series of valves with a light and compact design adapted to be used in an industrial refrigeration, where maximum pressure is 52 bar. All valve bodies are available with different connection types and sizes. The replacement of the ICS servo valve with the ICM motor is possible. The valves are equipped with a manual opening mechanism. The valve body is made of low temperature steel. Chrome-zinc outer coating provides good corrosion protection.
The ICS concept is developed around a modular principle. This gives the possibility of combining function modules and top covers with special valve body size that is available in a variety of connection types. There are eight valve bodies available.
Valve bodies in the sizes ICV 20-ICV 65 are available with a range of undersize through oversized connection sizes and types. ICV 100 - ICV 150 are available in butt-weld (DIN) and butt-weld (ANSI) nominal sizes.
